Clark House Rehearsal Dinner, Hayden Lake

10 Aug

My first thoughts when I saw Mike and Laura’s rehearsal dinner photos at the Clark House on Hayden Lake were, “how did I not know about this venue before?!” It looks like one of those old mansions you see in places like the Hamptons or Martha’s Vineyard. And is it just my Mad Men obsession or are there definite undertones of 1950’s vintage?

The mansion was built in 1910 by F. Lewis Clark (whose name you will recognize if you’re from around the Spokane area), who built the mansion right on the shores of Hayden Lake as a summer home where he invited the most prosperous of society to visit (or so the story goes). The house has been carefully restored to its former glory and now is a bed and breakfast and small event venue. The Clark House’s (very dated) web site says they can cater for events up to 50 people. I think it would be a PERFECT venue for a rehearsal dinner or small wedding even if you’re a Spokane bride, and especially if you’re from Coeur d’Alene!

But without further ado, here are Mike and Laura’s rehearsal dinner photos by Mastin Studio.

Thanks again to Kirk for letting me share this amazing wedding!
